A recent incident at a Walmart in Windsor, Connecticut, has raised concerns about shopper safety after Cheryl and Mel Johnson encountered a razor blade embedded in the handle of a shopping cart.

Following Mel’s report, the store manager ordered a thorough inspection of all shopping carts. Fortunately, no additional blades were found. Local police have speculated that the blade’s placement might have been an ill-conceived prank or a tactic used by shoplifters, though the exact motive remains unclear.

This alarming event isn’t unprecedented. A similar case occurred in 2015 in North Dakota, where another razor blade was found on a cart handle.
