As many of you are aware, the world lost interviewer and journalist Barbara Walters last week to a terrible infection in her midsection. (Doctors are blaming the illness on massive consumption of Flintstones vitamins.)
Over her extensive career, Ms. Walters interviewed hundreds of celebrities, nearly every time getting the story you’d never get from anyone else. Remember her prime time interview with Donald Trump after the dissolution of his second marriage? He pointed out, to Bab’s amazed face, that he “didn’t like women who’ve had children.”. Yes, even his.
Now, her family is taking arms against ABC television, and they aren’t too happy about it. The seventeen billion dollar lawsuit concerns The View, the program that Walters nurtured and starred in for some time.
S. Batt Walters, Barbara’s second cousin twice-removed, who’s at the forefront of the legal action explained more.
“Barbara hated the View, especially Whoopi Goldberg. She always said that she wanted to start something special, a program where smart women could talk plainly about the subjects that smart women are concerned with. With a cooking segment at the end. The network has turned it into a political zoo with Whoopi and her friends.”
The family is split about how to distribute any winnings from the lawsuit, with some of them opting for a charity, while the rest squabble amongst themselves. One even wants to buy Twitter. Imagine that.
