Jim Carrey Lists His 12,700 Sq Ft ‘Sanctuary’ For Sale At $28.9 Million in Retirement Transition.

Jim Carrey, the beloved Canadian-American actor, comedian, and screenwriter, began his journey from a working-class family in Newmarket, Ontario. Early stand-up comedy gigs propelled him to Hollywood in the early ’80s. Carrey’s breakthrough came with “Ace Ventura: Pet Detective” in 1994, showcasing his eccentric, larger-than-life characters. He continued to shine in hits like “The Mask,” “Liar Liar,” and “Bruce Almighty.”

Beyond comedy, Carrey championed causes like mental health and environmental protection, becoming the first actor to earn $20 million for a film. Despite fame, Carrey faced personal struggles, including depression. He ventured into painting and writing, releasing “Memoirs and Misinformation” in 2011.

In April 2022, Carrey announced his retirement from acting, focusing on painting and spiritual pursuits. He’s selling his Los Angeles mansion, hoping someone else will cherish it as he did. Jim Carrey, a comic genius, has left an indelible mark on entertainment.
