WXIN (Indianapolis)— After allegedly walking in on a convicted child molester trying to rape her 12-year-old daughter, a mother shot him several times inside a hotel room in Indianapolis.
The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department reports that Bruce Pierce of Indianapolis suffered critical injuries in the shooting.
Pierce faces Level 1 felony charges of attempted rape, Level 4 felony of unlawful possession of a firearm, Level 5 felony of attempted child molestation, and Level 1 felony of confinement.
According to court documents, Pierce was found guilty of child molestation in 2016. He received an eight-year prison sentence. Read more below
