However, behind this aesthetic change lies an issue that is often overlooked: the care and precautions that must be taken to ensure the experience doesn’t turn into a headache… or worse, a health problem.

Hair dyes aren’t harmless. Before applying a hair dye, it’s always necessary to do a skin test by placing a small amount behind the ear or on the inside of the arm. If redness, itching, or swelling appears within 24 to 48 hours, it’s best not to use the product. Skipping this step can result in a serious allergic reaction.
