Elderly man blows the judges away with his performance of ‘Unchained Melody’… The energy and vocals are too much for them to handle…

René Bishop, who is 71 years old and can be seen performing in this video from 2018, had an audition for The Voice Senior by singing a cover of Unchained Melody by The Righteous Brothers. His performance blew the judges away. During this astonishing performance, he was successful in convincing all of the judges to hit the button and turn in their seats.

The Voice is a popular reality competition show that is notable for showcasing previously undiscovered vocal performers and providing them with coaching. A performer will sing for the voice coaches, and if they like what they hear, they will press a button that reads “I want you” if they wish to sign them up for the show. The performing artist will then choose a coach for themselves if more than one displays interest in working with them, or they will be matched with the coach who desired them first.

However, the majority of the musicians featured on The Voice are quite young. Unfortunately, older people are often the victim of prejudice, and as a result, younger vocal artists tend to get more support than their more senior colleagues. In response to this kind of prejudice, the producers of “The Voice” devised “The Voice Senior,” a special version of the competition that highlights senior vocalists. Contestants on “The Voice Senior” are need to be at least 60 years old in order to be eligible for the competition.

René Bishop, who was 71 years old, was one of the people who tried out. Bishop sang a version of the Righteous Brothers’ song “Unchained Melody.” His performance was strong and smooth, and the audience and coaches were interested the whole time. When the camera moves to Bishop’s family, you can see how proud they are. After he struck the song’s high note, all of the coaches tapped the “I want you” button to show their interest. He seems to have impressed the judges with his performance.

His performance became well known. Over 17 million people have seen the Unchained Melody performance by Bishop on YouTube. The comments are universal in their awe of Bishop’s extraordinary vocal ability. One person commented, “Respect. Class sheer class. The world is not just for the young.”

Bishop has shown that one does not need to be young in order to achieve success in the entertainment industry. It is never too late to pursue the things that bring you joy. It is irrelevant how old you are when compared to your level of skill. At any point in your life, you can do great things.

I was wondering what your thoughts were on René Bishop’s rendition of Unchained Melody. Would you have wanted him on the team if you had been one of the coaches?
